After the "GS" Server start-up, various types of statistical information are displayed. Depending on which mode is used, and whether users are connected to the "GS" Server, the information may contain the following data:

  • Credit left for a particular user;
  • Amount of money used since the beginning of the service (if it is a fee-paying service);
  • Type of service: fee-paying (commercial) or free;
  • Audio live or pre-recorded information;
  • Name of service;
  • Amount of information (in bytes) sent during the session;
  • Percentage of space left on a recording disc;
  • Size of a file being recorded (if server is in RECORDING --> Audio File mode);
  • Level of input signal and spectrum of output signal;
  • Speed of broadcasting, System resources and other useful information, which might be necessary for monitoring of the "GS" Server functioning. (see detailed "controls and indicators description" section.

Main screen controls and indicators description:

 


 1  Main menu of "Main Screen".

 2  The  Genie Stream™ icon and application system menu.

 3  Application window caption where version number and license type are displayed.

 4  Audio Mixer(s) Controls of audio device(s) installed on the computer system and selected as "Source" and "Target" in the setup. These options will be enabled/disabled depending on the server mode and type of selected audio hardware.

 5  Indicator displays one of two possible modes - scenarios ("Easy User" and "Service Manager") controlling settings of broadcasting rules for connected users.

 6  Starts the "GS" Server in one of the preselected "Server stream mode".

 7  Indicator displays "Server stream mode" and type of computer network if applicable for the pre-selected server stream mode.

 8  Stops/shuts down the "GS" Server.

 9  Pauses the "GS" Server when the server is in the "RECORDING -> Audio File" mode.

 10  Indicator displays pre-selected "Active Server Channel" for running the "GS" Server instance.

 11  Opens connections logs viewer for "Service Manager User(s) Logs" or "Easy User(s) Logs".

 12  Minimizes the "GS" Server.

 13  Opens the Service Manager.

 14  Maximizes the "GS" Server.

 15  Sends "GS" Server's main window (Fig 1 or Fig 2) into the MS Windows system tray.
Note: This does not close the application! If you want to close the application (exit), you must use "Exit" from the "Main Menu".

 16  Roll-in or Roll-out, Compact mode for the "Main Screen" (Fig 1 or Fig 2).

 17  Indicator displays spectrum of output audio signal for "Output – Playback Sound Device" set as an audio device target for the "GS" Server "AUDIO REDIRECTION" mode.

 18  Indicator displays "current" time.

 19  Indicator displays the speed (bytes per second) at which the data is being sent to the connected  users.

 20  Indicator displays connections in queue to be authorized.

 21  Indicator displays total connections occurred (successful/unsuccessful) during an active session.

 22  Indicator displays current- total connections authorized during an active session.

 23  Indicator displays the number of maximum users allowed to connect as determined by the setup settings or license type.

 24  Indicator displays all additional active channels if more than one instance of the "GS" Server is running.

 25  Indicator displays system RAM resources.

 26  Indicator displays computer name where the "GS" Server is installed, all configured IP addresses and whether modem or LAN network connections are present.

 27  Indicator displays the active drive (from which the "GS" server is running) resources.

 28  Indicator displays when users connected to the "GS" Server under the "Easy User" broadcasting rules scenario will be requested to authorize themselves with "User ID" and "Password" set under setup of "Easy User" security section.

 29  Resource indicators label.

 30  Indicator displays when the "GS" Server is in the mode, which enables/disables a fee to be charged each time "Commercial Services" are accessed.

 31  Indicator displays when the "GS" Server is in the "Easy User" broadcasting rules scenario ("Server Users Control Mode") mode and a time limit has been set to the user session.

 32  Indicator displays the percentage of connected users (out of maximum) as defined by the setup or license type.

 33  Indicator displays when the "GS" Server has been started in the redirection, streaming or recording mode.

 34  Indicator displays percentage level of loaded buffer when the "GS" Server is running under "AUDIO REDIRECTION" or "STREAM -> Audio Live" server mode. A smaller value on this indicator, means better performance.

 35  Indicator displays input audio signal level for "Recording - Input Sound Device" set as a source audio device for the "GS" Server, which is running under the "AUDIO REDIRECTION" or "STREAM -> Audio Live" server mode.

 36  Scale of Input audio signal level.

 37  Buffer's indicator label.

 38  Indicator displays total bytes downloaded by all users during an active session.

 39  Indicator displays a total amount of money paid/spent by all users who have accessed "Commercial Services" during an active session.

 40  Indicator displays an average buffer load of all clients receiving data during an active session.

 41  Indicator displays duration of the "GS" Server session.

 42  Indicator displays the "current" date.

 43  Indicator displays the size of a recording file when the "GS" Server is running in  the "RECORDING -> Audio File" mode.

 44  Indicator displays  duration of a recording session when the "GS" Server is running under the "RECORDING -> Audio File" mode.

 45  Indicator displays the percentage of used space on the drive where recording occurs when the "GS" Server is running in the "RECORDING -> Audio File" mode.

 46  Recording status label.

 47  Icon displays connected user's status.

 48  This column displays user's computer IP address when the "GS" Server is running under the "Easy User" broadcasting rules scenario ("Server Users Control Mode") and user's "User ID" under the "Service Manager" user control mode.

 49  This column displays "Service Name" text string set in the "Easy User" section by general setup (for users controlled by "Easy User" mode) or text string set under "Edit Service Properties" dialog box in the Service Manager (for users controlled by "Service Manager" mode).

 50  This column displays session duration of every user connected to the "GS" Server during server's active session.

 51  This column displays available credit of every user who is connected to the "GS" Server and has accessed "Commercial Services" during an active session.

 52  This column displays the amount of money spent (debit) of every user who is connected to the "GS" Server and has accessed "Commercial Services" during an active session.

 53  This column displays the percentage of information already streamed to the user; the current number of files being streamed to the user, and the total number of files available or allowed to be streamed to the user when the "GS" Server is running in the "STREAM -> Audio File" mode.

 54  This column displays an actual percentage of buffer load level on the remote the "GS" Client application for every user connected to the "GS" Server during a user active session. This value indicates broadcasting performance for every user connected to the server during different stages of communication between the "GS" Server and the "GS" Client.

 55  This column displays computer IP address details of every user connected to the "GS" Server during an active session.
